1. Accepting these terms
By accessing or using a TalkAbout website, application, newsletter, event, research product or intelligence feature, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you use TalkAbout for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.
If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Additional terms may apply to paid subscriptions, event tickets, commissioned research, advertising or other contracted services; those specific terms will take priority where they conflict with these general terms.
2. Access, accounts and availability
You must provide accurate information, keep account credentials secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features to improve the service, address security or legal issues, or manage operations. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice where a material change affects a paid service.
3. Our content and permitted use
TalkAbout articles, graphics, research, data visualisations, audio, video, newsletters, software, branding and other materials are owned by or licensed to Radar One Media and are protected by intellectual property law.
You may read, link to and share short extracts for personal or internal business use with clear attribution. Unless we give written permission, you may not:
- republish substantial content or remove ownership, sponsorship or source labels;
- sell, sublicense, scrape or systematically harvest our content or data;
- use automated means that burden the service or bypass access controls;
- use our content to train, fine-tune or ground a commercial machine-learning system; or
- present TalkAbout content or signals as your own real-time market or investment feed.
For syndication, research licensing or data access, contact us.
4. Acceptable use and contributions
You must not misuse the service, interfere with other users, test for vulnerabilities without permission, introduce malicious code, impersonate others, or use TalkAbout for unlawful, deceptive, harassing or rights-infringing activity.
If you submit a comment, event listing, survey response, message or other material, you keep ownership of it but grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, review and use it for the purpose for which it was submitted. You confirm you have the necessary rights and that the material is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Confidential story tips should be clearly marked and sent only through an agreed secure route.
5. Editorial, automated features and sponsorship
Editorial content represents reporting and analysis at the time of publication and may be updated as facts change. We correct material errors in line with our editorial standards.
TalkAbout Live, recommendations, summaries and briefing tools may use automated systems to cluster, rank or present content. These systems support discovery; they do not remove human editorial accountability and their outputs may be incomplete or wrong.
Advertising, sponsored research and partner content are labelled. Sponsorship does not transfer editorial control. A sponsor may receive contact information only when that is made clear before you submit it.
6. Research, events and external services
Research describes the sample, methodology and limitations stated in the relevant report. Findings are informational and should not replace professional, legal, financial, security or technical advice.
Event programmes, speakers, locations and timings may change. Event-specific cancellation and transfer terms shown during registration apply. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs unless explicitly agreed.
TalkAbout may link to external sites and services. Links do not imply endorsement, and those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
7. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, TalkAbout services are provided “as available” without guarantees that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular decision. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where the law allows, Radar One Media will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity arising from free use of the service. For paid services, any additional liability terms in the applicable order or contract take priority.
8. Ending access, changes and general terms
We may restrict or end access where you materially breach these terms, create risk for other users or the service, or where required by law. Provisions intended to continue—such as intellectual property, disclaimers and liability terms—survive termination.
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal or operational changes. Material changes will be notified appropriately and the effective date above will change. Continued use after the effective date means the updated terms apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights you have under local law. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless applicable law requires otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
